Twitter Testing Feature To Make Yourself "Unmentionable" In Tweets

Twitter is looking into adding some anti-abuse tools to combat online bullying.

The features are still early in development, but according to Gizmodo, Twitter privacy engineer Dominic Camozzi teased the use of an “Unmention yourself from this conversation” button that pretty much unlinks you from conversations that mention your handle, which is similar to "muting" a user. Another possible concept will allow users to not be able to mention others they don't follow, similar to being blocked and will be a gentle way of saying "leave me alone."

Just recently, Twitter has been testing new features via a subscription service in Australia and Canada called Twitter Blue, which is approximately $4.99 a month.
