You all know Rocco, the host of our Mix shows on Q102 that we call "Saturday Night Wired"
But Rocco is a man of many hats, he also owns "Fuel Healthy Kitchen,” which has three restaurants in Philly.
But when the pandemic hit, Rocco wanted to use in business to help spread the love...and not the COVID. He started donating meals from his restaurants to local food banks and frontline heroes across the City of Brotherly Love!
As of September 24th, Rocco and his team have donated 20-thousand meals to local Philly food banks and an additional 15-thousand meals to frontline heroes, like the nurses at Jefferson Hospital. So over 35-thousand meals have been donated.
He said they’re donating about 500 to 1-thousand meals a week and they plan to continue through the rest of the year.
Rocco cancelled his paycheck to keep his staff working. He said by supporting Fuel you’re supporting their food donations, but he also has a Venmo set up — “FuelHealthyKitchen" if people are interested in donating directly.
