How to start dieting in the new year (Low-stress!)

Dieting sucks. It's impossible to maintain and it makes everyone sad. That being said I think I've found a way to make it simple and easy to start a new year diet that doesn't involve cutting a bunch of things out of your diet or really even having to think too much about all your meals. This is based on my experience alone and I'm by no means saying it's the best diet, just the best for me and I'm hoping you'll like it too!

Here it is: Eat at least 1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh. Get this protein in your diet early on every day. Get it out of the way before you eat anything else if you can help it. A lot of meals are going to have some carbs and fat that come along for the ride but just focus on getting mostly protein in. Once you hit your protein goal every day eat whatever you want for the rest of the day!

In my experience, having all that protein to start your day keeps you from eating a bunch of junk food later on. I have absolutely no science or data to back this up, just my experience. For me, something about eating protein keeps me stuffed and makes me crave junk food less!
