There's a bunch of legal gobly-gook about bills and laws and all that but I'll save you the time of figuring out what it all means and give it to you plainly: Outdoor extensions of all your favorite restaurants could be here to stay permanently.
During covid, restaurants had to get creative to accommodate customers and are noticing they should have had this new outdoor seating that extends to the street, or "Streeteries" a long time ago! I love it. Whatever gives my favorite restaurant more seating is cool with me. The downside being that there is less street paring of course to which I retort that there wasn't any parking before either. I certainly won't miss the extra 20 spots I would never get there in time to claim anyway. I mean who even gets these street parking spots in Center City? What time are these people getting there?
Parking complaints aside, I'm hoping the bills go through and restaurants are able to utilize the streets of Philly to help their businesses grow.
