Mini golf and bowling are being added to Willow Grove Park Mall in Philly. I'm especially excited about this because it's doing what malls need to do to survive in this decade. The day of just going to malls to shop is over. With malls closing all over the US and traffic at an all-time low. They have to evolve like this one has.
The new secret to running a successful shopping center seems to be creating more of an event and activity center, that just happens to have shopping available. I'm excited to see the shopping establishments in Philadelphia start to adopt this winning strategy!
This, with the addition of some events and other fun activations in the mall is certain to keep it thriving.
