• September 10, 2024: Last day before the September 17, 2024 Special Election on which official applications for civilian absentee ballots may be received by the county board of elections (Tuesday before special election. 25 P.S. § 3146.2a(a))

• September 17, 2024: SPECIAL ELECTION. All mail-in and civilian absentee ballots for the September 17, 2024 Special Election must be received by the county board of elections no later than 8:00 P.M. on this day to be counted (Election Day. 25 P.S. § 3146.6(c) and 25 P.S. § 3150.16(c))

• September 24, 2024: Last day for county boards of elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots for the September 17, 2024 Special Election (By 5:00 P.M. on the 7th day following a primary or election and must be voted no later than 11:59 P.M. on September 16. 25 P.S. § 3146.8(g)(1) & 25 Pa.C.S. § 3511(a))

• October 21, 2024: Last day to REGISTER to vote in the November 5, 2024 General Election

• October 29, 2024: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot.

• November 5, 2024: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M.)

• November 5, 2024: GENERAL ELECTION

• November 6, 2024: First day to REGISTER after November election

• September 9, 2024: Deadline to request an absentee or mail-in ballot. In-person and online requests may be made on September 9, while requests via mail must be received by this date.

• September 10, 2024: State Primary Election Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Only registered voters from participating parties may vote. Voters who were automatically registered to vote at DMV by the State Primary Election Voter Registration Deadline of August 17, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. and have their party listed on their voter registration as No Party-AVR may change their political party affiliation at the polling place in order to vote in their party’s State Primary Election. Absentee ballots must be returned by 8pm to the County Election Office in which the voter resides.

• October 12, 2024: Deadline to register to vote in the General Election.

• October 21, 2024: Deadline for uniformed service members and citizens living outside the U.S. to register to vote before the General Election.

• October 25-November 3, 2024: Early Voting Period for 2024 General Election begins. Early Voting for the November 5, 2024 General Election offered at designated Early Voting Sites in each county. • November 1, 2024: Deadline for the Department of Elections Offices to mail absentee ballots for the General Election.

• November 5, 2024: 2024 General Election - polls open from 7am-8pm. Voters must return voted absentee ballots to the Department of Elections office in their respective counties by 8pm.
