Travis Scott's multimillion-dollar mansion is just feet away from a major crack in the hillside it sits upon.
According to footage TMZ published on Wednesday, February 28, the UTOPIA rapper's home in Brentwood, Calif. is one of several homes that could be affected by a massive fissure on the hillside. The fire department told residents that the crack only goes 4 feet deep into the topsoil and is only on the surface. The huge gash in the hill is a result of the torrential storms the state got throughout February, and more rain is expected this coming week.
La Flame copped the lavish hillside mansion back in 2020 for a cool $23.5 million. The 16,700-square-foot home has three floors with 7 bedrooms, 11 baths and a gorgeous view of the city. His mansion also has a 20-car garage, a huge infinity pool, a gym, bar, sauna, 15-seat theater and wine closet. Scott copped the home nearly half the original asking price. It first hit the market at $42 million but was reduced twice before the "Meltdown" rapper got involved. He paid the $23.5 million price tag in cash, which TMZ notes was one of the biggest purchases in L.A.
The L.A. Dept. of Building and Safety is accessing the damage on the hillside alongside local geologists. So far, they haven't signaled that the hillside will come down anytime soon. However, there are at least five homes that could still be damaged, especially if there's more rain on the way. Scott still has another home in Beverly Hills that he co-owns with his ex Kylie Jenner, which they are reportedly trying to sell.
