You can now hack a Disneyland Ride like a video game by unlocking a secret "Chewie Mode" on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland!
What's "Chewie Mode", you ask? Pretty much you get to wreck everything with Millennium Falcon during the ride while Chewbacca growls and roars at you, most likely because he's angry hahaha.
The Smugglers Run flight simulator has buttons that actually perform different functions, so don't just button mash. This isn't an actual video game or fighter where button mashing is encouraged.
The Fresh Baked Disney fan site cracked the “Chewie Mode” and posted their findings on YouTube:
Here are the steps to unlock the secret mode: (According to Fresh Baked)
Step 1: Do not immediately activate any positions as your flight crew enters the cockpit.
Step 2: Pilots must first push their flight controls in one direction or the other before hitting the orange activation button. The pilot in the front left seat must push the controls left or right before hitting the activation button. The pilot in the front right seat must push the control up or down before hitting the activation button.
Step 3: The gunners and engineers must press and hold down a white button at their console before hitting the orange activation button. Think of it like holding the shift key down on a keyboard to make a capital letter.
All three steps must be completed before the Disneyland cast member finishes the safety inspection in the cockpit and checks all riders seatbelts and voila, Chewie Mode is activated. Enjoy!
