This is sad (and of course we don't agree) - three local cities in the Tri-State area are on the 'worst' side of a new report by Wallethub of 2019's 'Best and Worst Places To Raise A Family'!
Wilmington, DE got a terrible ranking on the list - 177th of the 182 cities!
What’s even worse? Newark, NJ was nearly DEAD LAST at 181st out of 182nd! The only city that was ‘worse’ was Detroit according to the list.
The only cities ‘worse’ than Wilmington were Shreveport, LA, Memphis, TN, Cleveland, OH, Newark, NJ, and Detroit, MI.
Philadelphia was pretty shockingly low on the list too, ranking 126th out of 182. So, even at 126th, apparently Philly is *not* a great place to raise a family according to this! (Of course which we don't agree with!)
Pittsburgh was higher at 54th.
Suffice to say… we definitely don’t agree with much of this. The survey used 47 metrics, including "cost of housing, quality of local school and health-care systems, fun and recreation, and family dynamics."
