Move over, MoviePass, there's ANOTHER movie subscription service in town.
Regal Cinemas is launching an "unlimited movie" subscription service in the next couple weeks. They won't be the first, and certainly won't be the last in a growing list of services that provide an unlimited movie pass-type service.
The service will come in tiers, ranging from $18 to $23.50 per month plus tax. There's a catch too. The service will charge a "convenience fee" of 50 cents per movies when using the online/app service plus charge extra depending on the type of format (4D, IMAX, etc.). You'll also have to pay a year upfront, so monthly payments are a no-n
So, it's unlimited with a few exceptions. MoviePass recently updated their subscription service to revert back to the $9.95 a month package for a limited time.
If you watch at least 2 movies a month, this I think is worth the subscription.
