Not a great look for Forever 21 - their online customers were outraged this week when they begun opening up their packages to find not just the clothes they ordered - but a diet bar inside the package with them!
The company sent along Atkins bars with the plus-size orders (of which the company says is now just a bad coincidence), but it didn't take long for upset customers to voice their outrage on social media.
Why did Forever 21 stick random diet/Atkins bars in particular plus-size orders?
This was their response today to Jezebel:
From time to time, Forever 21 surprises our customers with free test products from third parties in their e-commerce orders. The freebie items in question were included in all online orders, across all sizes and categories, for a limited time and have since been removed. This was an oversight on our part and we sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused to our customers, as this was not our intention in any way.
One would assume they would be extra careful next time - if this is true, it's still a terrible coincidence and look for the brand, wouldn't you say?
