What's old might be new again if Eagles' owner Jeffrey Lurie gets his wish. He told reporters at the NFL Annual Meeting that using the old kelly green uniform is a high priority.
The current, darker color would still be the one used, but the kelly green would be used as an alternate uniform. The last time it was used as part of the uniform was in 1995 (there was that first game in 2010 that did bring it back, but that was it).
The reason why they haven't just done both in the past is there's a rule in the NFL that only allows only one helmet for each player.
Lurie says it probably won't be done in time for this year, but he's hopeful for 2020.
What do you think about it?
