This is crazy. People is reporting that people in both Ariana Grande's and Pete Davidson's "inner-circle" are "relieved" that the engagement is called off.
People quotes an insider who says, "[Her loved ones] always thought the engagement to Pete happened way too quickly. They didn’t want her to get married to Pete."
To me this is insane. It's one thing to think the whole thing went too fast, and it probably did, but dislike the person she was clearly in love with sucks. I know that not everyone approves of the person you decide to marry, including close friends and relatives, but it sucks that Ariana and Pete are probably finding out about this through People Magazine and not from their friends and family themselves. It seems like it's a lot of talking behind their backs.
If I were Ariana and Pete I'd take this time to flush the negative people in my life out. It seems like there may be a few of them.
