There's more tea in the Ariana Grande/Pete Davidson breakup saga. So as you know, the two were recently engaged but decided to call off their engagement over the weekend as TMZ first told us. In fact, Ariana was supporting Pete BACKSTAGE at SNL that Saturday night before they publicly announced their split the day after according to People.
It definitely seems like the split may have come suddenly. I just don't see why someone who you're going to break up with would come to work with you.
Anyways, People is shedding more light on the situation. A "Pete Davidson source" tells the magazine, that this isn't the first time the pair have split up. Apparently, there were some struggles behind the smiling faces they put out to the public. The silver lining? They've gotten into arguments, broken up and then got back together before, so it is possible that it's just a rough spot.
Obviously, a lot of people will say that Pete and Ariana getting engaged happened way too quick. It seems like they were dating for only two-or-so months. However, Ariana named one of the songs in her new album "Pete Davidson" which makes me seem like they were totally head-over-heels in love with each other. So I'm still kind of surprised about the breakup just because of how into each other they were.
The most important thing is that both of them are happy. Ariana has had a tough two years with the Manchester bombings to the loss of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. That's enough to take an emotional toll on anyone. If she feels the best thing to do is be apart, then that's what they should do.
