Phila Impacted By 'Day Without Immigrants" Protest

Today in the U.S., a nation wide movement is being executed by working immigrants. It's being called the "Day Without Immigrants" protest and it consists of immigrants working in any and all areas life, to suspend working for the day.

The protest aims to highlight just how monumental immigrants are in day to day life for businesses large and small. Many local restaurants in Philly, including across the country, have shut down for the day and are losing thousands of dollars in support of their workers taking the day off to show the impact.

And let's clarify, these are not illegal immigrants, (although some may be), the protest and its participants are legal citizens showing how their absence in the workforce affects the economy. Read more.
