This actually breaks my heart...
Let me just start by saying I'm a frequent attendee of the Made In America Festival that takes place off the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philly every labor day weekend. And I truly believe that Jay-Z's show it a great economical & entertaining experience that unites our diversified community through music.
But the fact that people are afraid to attend this year because of what our nation has been going through is beyond upsetting.
This morning, I woke up to Twitter trending #MadeInAmericaFestival -- with people addressing how this is the next BIG festival in our country and it could be a direct focus/opportunity for another mass shooting as we've seen 2 in the past weekend.
Not only does this terrify me, but it's so disheartening to think that we have to live our lives in fear like this! These concerts, and community events should be one that give people joy... not fear of living their best lives!
