Tim McGraw Wears Phillies World Series Ring at NFL Draft to Honor His Dad

Here's our NBC sports guy, John Clark, with world reknown Country music star, Tim McGraw!

Why is this picture relevant?

Well you see -- way back when in 1980, Tim's father, Tug McGraw, threw a pitch that helped the Phillies win the World Series in order to obtain the ring that you see in the picture below.

Unfortunately, Tug McGraw died of brain cancer in 2004 according to the Times.

But his legacy still carries strong through his son, though he choose the music route instead of sports -- Tim McGraw made an appearance at the NFL draft in Nashville last night while wearing his fathers World Series Ring to represent Philly Sports!
