Subs and Nurses In Philly Will Get a Pay Raise

Sub teachers and nurses in the Philly School district are about to get PAID. I'm all about it. These are people that definitely work hard and I'm happy to see them get this recognition. Especially in places that have worker shortages, these pay incentives are great for the people helping to fill the gaps especially with flu season here and teachers undoubtedly having to take some sick days.

I have been living in the Middle East so this is my first fall/winter weather in 3 years and I've already gotten sick twice! It doesn't help that the last two winters we have all been locked down. I feel like we are going to have a lot of people off work this year due to being sick so incentives for people filling in are great.

Substitute teachers, librarians and counselors will recieve a $50 daily increase in pay through April. Substitute nurses get an additional $100 per day.
