"Weight Watchers" Changed It's Name!

I think it's so funning that they are losing "weight."  Ha!  I hope someone brother that up in a meeting!

This is really great.  It's about time we start to realize that weight and health don't always go hand in hand.  Some people are healthy, eat really well, and just weigh more than others.  There are skinny people who are very unhealthy and people think they are healthy because they are skinny,  It's simply just not true.  Weight Watches is changing to WW, kind of like how Dunkin Donuts is being "Dunkin" and Kentucky Fried Chicken is just "KFC."

Here's the statement:

CEO Mindy Grossman said in a statement that the company remains "committed to always being the best weight management program on the planet" but that it wants people to also focus on eating healthier, exercising and having a more positive mind-set.

Oprah, who is a member of the company's board and owns a more than 8% stake, echoed those comments.

"The role WW can play in people's lives goes far beyond a number on the scale," Winfrey said in the release. "As Weight Watchers becomes WW, I believe we will continue to inspire people not only to eat well, but to move more, connect with others and continue to experience the joys of a healthy life."
