The Woman Who Finally Beat Jeopardy's James Holzhauer Is A Philly Native

Well, Jeopardy’s mega-winner James Holzhauer finally lost on Monday, but everyone in Philly can take a little solace in it knowing that the woman who beat him, Emma Bottcher, is from PHILLY! Yep, she’s currently a librarian at the University of Chicago, but she grew up in the Philly burbs. And now she’s can say she’s the one who beat James after a 32-game winning streak.

She even auditioned for the show FOUR times before she eventually got in, which makes the win even sweeter, don’t you think?

Boettcher spoke to the Philly Inquirer about playing against James and about her win. Check out the interview right HERE and check out the video of Emma winning below!
