It's definitely been a long past couple weeks navigating through the new normal fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
But, with the guidance of our local, city, and state officials, we will get through this and come out stronger.
There is some progress with getting a system in place to find out if you have COVID-19. The City of Los Angeles has established a website to sign up for Coronavirus testing. The site, www.lacovidprod.service-now.com/rrs, is where the most vulnerable can sign up for a test. There is a catch, though. This testing is limited to Los Angeles residents.
Those eligible for a test include:
Those with symptoms who are 65 and older.
Those with symptoms who have underlying chronic health conditions.
Those who are subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine period due to a confirmed COVID-19 exposure (with more than seven days of quarantine remaining).
If anyone has questions about this process, they can contact Mayor Eric Garcetti's office by calling 213-978-1028 or sending an email to mayor.helpdesk@lacity.org.
