Things have gone from bad to worse for Lori Loughlin in the ongoing college admissions scandal. As she prepares for her upcoming legal battle, the Fuller House actress has reportedly learned her daughters will be called to testify if she doesn't change her plea from not guilty to guilty.

“Lori has been told by the legal team that the United States Attorney’s Office will use her daughters as star witnesses in hopes of securing a conviction,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. The insider also noted this wold be difficult for Isabella and Olivia Jade Gianulli as they “had their world turned upside down when their parents were indicted.”

Loughlin reportedly “asked if there was anything that could be done to prevent the girls from testifying" in an effort to protect her girls. “She was told there wasn’t unless there was a change from not guilty to guilty,” the source explained. “Accepting a plea bargain would be the only solution.”

So far, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have refused a plea deal at every turn. The pair reportedly believe they are innocent of the multiple charges they face. Should they be found guilty, however, they could spend up to 50 years in prison.

“The girls seem to grasp the severity of the situation and are taking it very seriously. Prosecutors plan on asking Bella about the photo she took on a rowing machine prior to being admitted,” the source continued. “Bella did so at the direction of her parents.”

Despite knowing how serious the situation is, Bella and Olivia Jade "don’t want to be in the crosshairs of this mess more than they already are.” The source suggests the girls may even consider invoking the fifth amended "if their lawyers advise it" and refuse to testify against their parents.
