Kelly Clarkson & John Legend Re-imagining 'Baby It's Cold Outside' For 2019

Kelly Clarkson and John Legend, both 'Voice' coaches, announced they are creating a remake of the 1944 holiday classic "Baby, It's Cold Outside" to bring it into the #MeToo era.

The original version, if you listen to the lyrics, suggest that the song was promoting "date rape", so they decided to make it #MeToo friendly.

The original lyrics to this section:

My mother will start to worry (Beautiful, what’s your hurry)

The neighbors might think (Baby it's bad out there)

Say what's in this drink? (No cabs to be had out there)

Turned into this for the re-make:

My mother will start to worry (I’ll call a car and tell ’em to hurry)

What will my friends think (I think they should rejoice)

If I have one more drink? (It’s your body and your choice)

What do you think? Is the song better, doesn't matter that they changed it? Should have left it alone?
