Spider-Man Is No Longer Part Of The Marvel Universe

Well, this is certainly a shocker. A deal between Marvel and Sony has broken down so bad, that Marvel Studios Prez Kevin Feige will officially no longer produce any more Spider-Man films! Deadline reports there was an “inability” between Disney and Sony Pictures to reach new terms. The dispute took place over the last few months, and essentially “nixed” Feige, and “any future involvement of Marvel from the Spider-Man universe.”

It comes at a surprising time, as the most recent MCU films have been massive box office success — Avengers: Endgame is now the biggest movie of all time, and that helped Spider-Man: Far From Home to a healthy run thus far. Fortunately, at least this comes at a time after the Avengers movies are over, so it’s not like this jeopardizes Spider-Man’s team involvement. But, it does nix the possibility of him showing up in any other spin-offs down the road at this time.

Deadline reports that two more Spider-Man films are in the works with Tom Holland, and it’s looking like Feige is out.
