Miley Cyrus Breaks Silence After Liam Hemsworth Separation

Glastonbury Festival 2019 - Day Five

Miley Cyrus is speaking out since her sudden split with husband Liam Hemsworth.

One day after it was reported the "Cattitude" star and Hunger Games alum would be going their separate ways after less than a year of being married, Cyrus broke her silence on the situation in her first social media post since the breakup on Sunday (August 11).

"Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win," Cyrus started her message, which she shared with photos of her in Italy. "Like the mountain I am standing on top of , which was once under water , connected with Africa , change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed."

She added: "My dad always told me 'Nature never hurries but it is always on time'.... it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own ...."

The 26-year-old's message seems constant with what her rep told PEOPLE about their separation as well.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers," the rep told the outlet. "They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

In an interesting turn of events, just after the breakup news broke, Cyrus, who had only been wedded since December 2018, was photographed kissing Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter during the Italian vacation as well.

As yet, Hemsworth has not commented on the split.
