Hailey Baldwin's Beauty Brand Hindered By Husband Justin Bieber

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - May 04, 2019

Justin Bieber just caused a snag in wife Hailey Baldwin's upcoming cosmetics line.

On Saturday (June 22), The Blast reported the model's attempt at trademarking the title "Bieber Beauty" for her upcoming beauty brand was refused by U.S. Patent & Trademark — and her husband has something to do with it. According to court documents obtained by the celebrity news outlet, Hailey's application was denied due to a "likelihood of confusion" and "similarity of marks" in light of trademarks Justin already owns.

Turns out the "I Don't Care" artist had "Bieber Beauty" stamped in 2003 — when he was just 9-years-old — for a similar range of products that also included cosmetics, fragrances, soaps, shampoos, and lotions.

As previously reported, Hailey submitted the trademark for the label name back on April 15 via her company Rhodedeodato Corp. News of the 22-year-old's beauty business move came months after she filed to trademark "Hailey Bieber" weeks after marrying the singer-songwriter in a secret courthouse ceremony in September 2018.

Despite the drawback, the married couple has proven themselves the king and queen advertising their business ventures. After Justin's Drew House unisex clothing line launched in 2017, Hailey's appeared in numerous House of Drew pieces on her hubby's Instagram account as well as her own.

Once Hailey gets over the trademark hurdle, we'd like to think Justin will do his part and put his wife's cosmetics to good use with a skincare routine.
