I love Hoda Kotb, she seems like the sweetest person out there. There was exciting news this morning as the Today family grew by one! Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb has been missing from the program for the past few days and we finally found out why...she adopted a baby girl!!! This is the second child for Hoda and her long-time boyfriend Joel. She announced on the show her daughter's name is Hope Catherine Kotb. Hope is the little sister to two-year-old Haley Joy.
Hoda along with her co-anchor, Savannah Guthrie, surprised the rest of the folks on the show like Al Roker and Willie Geist with the news.
It's been a busy time in Hoda's life. Her long-time co-host Kathie Lee Gifford ended her 11 year run co-hosting the fourth hour of Today and she just started co-hosting that hour with Jenna Bush Hager. Adding to her duties, last year she became the co-anchor of the first two hours of Today, making her and Savannah the first female duo in the show's history.
It was such a sweet moment to hear Hoda call in to the show. Check out the video and the pictures below!
Congrats Hoda!
