Sending love to Wendy Williams. Today on the show she tearfully admitted something only her husband and son knew: she's been living in a sober-living house as she fights her addiction. Here's what she said:
“Nobody knew because I look so glamorous out here. After I finish my appointments, seeing my brothers and sisters, breaking bread, I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to the home that I live in here in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family… They hog the TV and watch soccer, we talk and read and talk and read. and then I get bored with them. Doors are locked by 10 p.m. Lights out by 10 p.m. So I go to my room, and I stare at the ceiling, and I fall asleep to wake up and come back here to see you. So that is my truth.”
Fans have been wondering about her health for sometime. Last year she was slurring her words on the show and she took a long leave of absence this year as she fought graves disease. She has been open with her addiction to cocaine in the past.
Wendy speaking out about what's going on is going to help a ton of people. She started a foundation to help those who are battling addiction. Part of the foundation includes running at hotline that helps get people into recovery.
If you or someone you know is struggling with recovery you can call the 24/7 hotline, 888-5-HUNTER.
