London police say an attack in Central London has left six civilians dead in what appeared to have been two well coordinated terror attacks. In addition, the three suspects involved in the incident were shot dead by police.
Police say three assailants began driving large vans into a crowd on London bridge at about 10:08 p.m. (5:08 p.m. ET) on Saturday. At least one of the dead was killed when the van careered onto the sidewalk, mowing down pedestrians. Within minutes police responded to the scene quickly shooting and killing all three suspects.
Witness report seeing man jump from the van wielding a knife and running into nearby Borough Market, where he stabbed several people. Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said the three men were wearing looked to be suicide-explosives, which later turned out to be fake.
This incident comes only a few weeks after a deadly suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.
Story developing.
