"Only a genius like Katy could make a dance/pop song political and woke. Here are some of the messages in the song:
The slingshot that shot you out of the wall symbolizes Trump's wall
The gas station, in my opinion, showcases how we'll do stuff other people do so we don't seem like outcasts
The roller coaster seats had a pink heart on one side and a blue on the other, which showcases how society forces heterosexuality into everyone
The hamster ball can symbolize how when we do mistakes we do them over again without learning from them
At the end of the roller coaster the man has more points than the woman, which symbolizes the Wage Gap, which means that women get paid less than men even though having/doing the same job.
There's many more hidden messages but the ones I pointed out were just some of them!" - Youtuber Panic! At The Fall Out Perry Fanboy

"This song always makes me wanna cry idk I just feel sad that we're so blind to everything" - Youtuber Melissa Iridescence
