Just days after announcing he was stepping down from his lead anchor duties, Josh Elliot, CBS News anchor, has been fired from CBS from its president David Rhodes.
Before his firing, Elliot announced on air that "knowing how things work around here, I may see you again on Monday morning" In addition, issueing a statement that he was leaving to take "field assignments and reporting longform pieces as well". However, Rhodes then took the situation into his own hands and decide to let go the former Good Morning American and ESPN anchor. Elliot's contract was set to end in 2018, however Rhodes makes another shocking fire in this current steady stream of anchor's leaving their respective news networks. Signs showed that Rhodes and Elliot did not have a good relationship to begin with.
