San Francisco just became the first U.S. city to offer FREE college tuition! Anyone moving?
San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and Supervisor Jane Kim announced that a community college in San Francisco, City College Of San Francisco, will offer free tuition to all city residents living there for one year or more.
The city will pay $5.4 million per year to cover the usual out-of-pocket tuition costs for students. Low-income students will also receive $250 per semester to cover books.
