Phillies Game Postponed After MLB Confirms Coronavirus Outbreak

Well that didn't take long at all...

After just one quick 3-game series following the already delayed season opener against the Florida Marlins on Friday night; The Philadelphia Phillies have decided to postpone their Monday night rivalry game against the New York Yankees after hearing the news that 14 Florida Marlins team members have tested positive for coronavirus following the series against the Phils.

The MLB has confirmed the outbreak on the Marlins as their game against the Baltimore Orioles has been postponed as well.

According to Fox News:

[The Marlins] delayed their trip home [from Citizens Bank Park] amid concerns about an outbreak within the team. Four players on the Marlins tested positive for the coronavirus and on Monday ESPN reported that eight more players and two coaches tested positive for the illness.

Players have been tested prior to starting the season, but not before each game like other sports leagues.
