Another one bites the dust, unfortunately. Modell’s announced this week that they are filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will close all 115 stores they have nationwide, including the ones in our area.
Modell’s currently has about 3,623 employees, but they haven’t announced details on the timing of the closure either.
Neil Saunders, managing director at GlobalData Retail said, “There’s a lot more competition [now]. Modell’s didn’t stand out.”
