There’s more drama going on with the Phillie Phanatic’s new look.
The creators that designed the original costume say the new design is an “affront” to fans. To be fair, they're currently in a tiff with the Phillies over who actually owns the rights to the Phanatic.
While reaction to the Phanatic's new look has been mixed, another famous Philly mascot is weighing in. The Philadelphia Flyers' mascot, Gritty, came out last night in favor of the new look.
He donned the Phanatic’s blue fluffy eyebrows with a sign “I stand with the Phillie Phanatic."
On Twitter, he wrote, "Nobody talks jazz about my friend."
