It's a sad day for peanuts and fans of monocle-wearing Mr. Peanut!
At the ripe old age of 104, Mr. Peanut was killed in an accident to save his friends...in a commercial.

This occurred right before the Super Bowl and people are speculating whether or not this is just a stunt or if they really killed off the long time Planters mascot for a new one to be revealed during the Big Game.
Who knows what will happen, but it did get the world and social media talking!
I guess we will find out soon enough!
