Starbucks is moving towards a new way to serve customers in urban areas. These new "Pick-Up" stores will only accept and fulfill orders from the Starbucks mobile app.
The first store of its kind in the United States will be in New York City, inside New York's Penn Station.
This looks to enhance the customer service experience and efficiency of the coffee shop, according to CNN Business. Plus, Starbucks' mobile app usage grew by 14% last quarter, reaching more than 17 million members.
The format is similar to the Starbucks Now format, only available in China. Do you think this is a better Starbucks experience or not? I think since we are on our phones so much more, this will speed things up to pick up orders.
