Rob McCord was born on March 5, 1959 and was raised in Ardmore, PA. He lives in Bryn Mawr, PA with his wife and two sons. He currently serves as Pennsylvania's State Treasurer. McCord received a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to being elected Treasurer, McCord managed more than one billion dollars in assets and raised money for start-up companies. He also co-founded the Eastern Technology Fund and Pennsylvania Early Stage Partners — a family of venture funds that invested in early-stage life science and information technology firms where he also served as Managing Director.
