Dubbed "Drop of Doom VR," the ride will implement virtual reality technology to transport passengers into a city overrun with mutant spiders. Thrill seekers will enter a battle that begins high above skyscrapers before plunging to the streets below.
"We are taking virtual reality to the next level with the introduction of the first VR drop rides,” said Neal Thurman, the theme park's president. “Drop of Doom VR plays upon two of our greatest fears – extreme heights and spiders – and delivers an entirely new thrill for the spring 2017 season.”
