Yikes — it appears NBC is cleaning house at “America’s Got Talent”, as The Blast reports that 3 cast members have been yanked from the show, including host Tyra Banks and judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. The three starred on the show along with Howie Mendell and Simon Cowell.
Tyra Banks will be replaced by Terry Crews next season, while it’s still unclear who will be replacing Union and Hough.
TooFab reports that sources say Union “wouldn’t be returning” after she spoke out against the racism and sexism she witnessed during her time on the show. Allegedly, Cowell had a hand in her firing.
Publicly, Cowell said he enjoyed working with both Union and Hough, but it does seem strange that both would only be one-seasoners despite connecting with the audience last season.
